Event Guide: Eurocultured

Hi all!

A busy week for me, so I am a little late again with this weeks Event Guide.

We are singing, playing and dancing our hearts out for our audience at The Elvis Presley Story in the Tivoli Theatre and I assume you have been there, or are just about to book your tickets. RIGHT?!?!?! ;-)

We started last Monday with the show and will continue until the 23rd. The shows today and tomorrow are completely sold out, but for next week there are still a few tickets available, but I suggest you hurry! About 1,600 people have seen the show already and by the end of it 5,000 people will have seen it. Do you want to risk missing out on it? :-) Information on www.elvisthewayitwas.com and you can book the tickets on www.ticketmaster.ie/artist/956347

Only one other big event this week – again as part of Dublin City’s Summer in Dublin festival. It is called “Eurocultured” is on on Sat 18th of August from 12:00-20:00 at Smithfield Plaza.
There will be European art, dance, music, performance, food and drink on 2 stages and with marquees, art installations, a skate ramp, food, art and craft stalls as 150 top performers will be flown in from France to Lithuania from Greece to Italy to entertain the masses.
Expect live street art, dance showcases from flamenco to B-boying, DJs, live acts playing gypsy rock to hip hop, street performers, workshops and much more.
The festival is completely free of charge. www.eurocultured.com

The Temple Bar Diversions Festival has a few more open air cinema events and one or two more musical performances during the week, but no more outdoor weekend events.

Advance Notice for NEXT weekend and one of the reasons why I started this Event Guide originally: Let everybody know that the brilliant Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Culture is on next weekend from Friday until Sunday: www.festivalofworldcultures.com.

And a last note: If any of your friends would like to get this Event Guide, just send me their e-mail address or forward this guide and suggest that the reply. I am happy to put everyone who is interested on the distribution list.

Enjoy the weekend (and see you in the Tivoli!!),

–Joerg

Disclaimer: This Event Guide is sent to friends and colleagues of mine to let you know about events (usually free!) in the Greater Dublin Area. I started this because some friends asked me to share my weekend plans with them as I went to all types of festivals and searched for more. ;-) If you don’t want to receive this mail, just let me know. If you have feedback, good or bad, PLEASE tell me. BTW: I have no affiliation with any of the organisers and don’t get any reward from them for advertising their events.
