Chinese New Year Festival, Zero Waste Festival, Temple Bar Trad Festival, Silk Road Film Festival

Hi all!

And another weekend has arrived. Isn’t it crazy that four weeks of 2020 are already over? Oh and Christmas Day is just 11 month away. :-)))) You can never mention Christmas early enough, right? :-D

This weekend the Temple Bar Trad Festival is happening and there are lots of events for kids (most other free events are booked out) and also the Chinese New Year will start today (Saturday). The year of the Rat is starting and if you meet your Chinese friends this weekend you can wish them “Gong hei fat choy” in Cantonese and “Gong she fa tsai” in Mandarin! It means “Wishing you great happiness and prosperity.”

I am wishing you that as well, even if you are not Chinese! ;-)

Thanks for your support last week, it makes a huge difference and without it, this Dublin Event Guide can’t continue, so everybody who helps is making a difference! There is a free way to help and it is explained below. I get a few cent that way and if enough people help, then enough money comes together. But last week one very helpful person suggested to let you “Buy Me a Coffee” ;-) and here is the link for that www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG OR you can also donate directly via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide if you prefer that. And for the Revolut people among you it gets even easier: 0872931571.

And this is how you can help in a way that doesn’t cost you a single cent and it is super easy:

Just go to www.DublinEventGuide.com and at the top you will find the sentence “Is this what you were looking for?”. Right below that sentence you should find a rectangular ad. Please click on it!
The ad might change every time you open/refresh the page, so I can’t tell you what it is promoting. And if you don’t see an ad there, please turn your Ad Blocker off and refresh the page and then do the clicking. ;-) Thanks!
If you click on the ad, I get between 5 and 30 cent. That is not much, but if enough people help, it will do the job to cover the cost to keep the Dublin Event Guide going.

And now we come to some of this weekend’s free events. All events are sorted by start time, but watch out for the few events that have a “++” in front of them, the are particularly recommended. ;-) ALL events in this list are free, but some require booking! The market events that take place every week are only posted on the website at www.dublineventguide.com
