Dublin Event Guide 767: Great weekend ahead! – Rose Festival, Beach BBQ Festival Bray, Baldoyle Viking Festival, Family Sports Day at The Square

July 16th, 2022

Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)

Great weekend ahead!

Rose Festival, Beach BBQ Festival Bray, Baldoyle Viking Festival, Family Sports Day at The Square

Good Morning!

Let me start with a weather “de-warning”! You probably giggled about that already, but just in case you are concerned, DO NOT PANIC about the weather warnings for this weekend (at least as long as you are in Dublin)!

We will survive and whatever crazy stuff newspapers and websites write about the heat wave will not happen here at all. Yes, it will be a little warmer than on other days, but we will survive the max 25 degrees that we MIGHT get.

In the UK the Met Office is talking about “serious illness or danger to life” because the heat might reach 32 degrees there. 32 would be hot for Ireland, considering that the temperature here was never higher than 33.3 degrees (and that was in 1887). But maybe we should take the sensationalism out of weather forecasts. Madrid will have 42 degrees this weekend, now THAT is hot!

So, what IS actually happening in Dublin? We will have a wonderful weekend and there will be a good number of great events to enjoy. Drink plenty, use sun screen and then enjoy the Rose Festival in Raheny or the Family Sports Day at the Square in Tallaght or the Beach BBQ Festival in Bray or the Baldoyle Viking Festival or maybe even the (not free) GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final.

Last week I mentioned that I will start a new newsletter that will help looking at the life options we have, give some ideas and suggestions about these life decisions and how to be/become our best self and be very inspiring and motivational.

It was just the first time I mentioned it and immediately nearly 50 people signed up for it. Wow, did I hit a vein? You might know that I am trained as a Life/Success Coach and as a Business Coach and I will use my knowledge from that area in that new newsletter. Are you interested?

It will be completely free and sent from my “Inspiring Leadership Academy”. If you want to get great ideas and suggestions and Inspiring News, sign up here www.getthislink.com/InspiringNews (it will just take 20 seconds!) The first edition will be sent in about 10 days, so be one of the “founding members”. :-D There were just 10 people who got the first Dublin Event Guide, but it seems this new “guide” will reach more people from the start.

Donations in July:
EUR 268

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter here shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be subtracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

The great people that donated last week were Seamus, Debbie, Anne, Maurice, Sarah! Thank you so much! Your donation will keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and will motivate me to continue week after week. I appreciate you and your support!

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses. The first of those bonuses is described above.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 3. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb or now also revolut.me/joergbrb
(If possible, please send your full name and e-mail address as a message with the payment via PayPal or Revolut so that I can tell you about bonuses for donors when available.)

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

One of the highlights of the coming weekend is the super popular Rose Festival in St. Anne’s Park in Raheny, Dublin 5 on Saturday and Sunday (10:00-18:00).

There will be music, family entertainment, a play area for children and The Big Dig, dog agility demonstrations, food vendors, plant sellers, nurseries, garden centres, florists, recyclers, up-cyclers, trade stands and more. Not sure if if was as a result of an e-mail I sent on Friday afternoon or because they didn’t get around to it earlier. Late on Friday, the schedule of the performances was finally added to a post ont he Dublin City website, you can find the details via the link bellow.

Ideally you will make it to St Anne’s Park via public transport, but if the car is the only way you can get there, then please note: Parking will be available through the main park entrance on Sybil Hill Road. Or NLP or some Business related “soft skills”? Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest price most of the time is EUR 12.99, so definitely do-able. Occasionally it goes even below that and I will mention it here when I find out. Check out the website at shor.by/GqCk And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)

And this is it for another week! Have a great weekend and good new week.

Take care,
