Dublin Event Guide (for free events)

June is full of festivals!

Dublin Maker Festival, Stoneybatter Festival, Dublin Pride, G ay Theatre Festival, Eat the Streets Festival

Hi all!

The amazing weather from last weekend will not be back this weekend or at any stage during the coming week. We have to be patient! ;-) But it still might be quite nice. So enjoy the “Outdoor Summer” – that Dublin City is promoting heavily – as much as you can!

Unfortunately there are no outdoor events yet, but seemingly the markets are back EVEN the one in People’s Park (Thanks to Rachel D for letting me know.) and MAYBE even the market in Marlay Park. Did Dun Laoghaire Rathdown finally inform people? Nope! :-O

In other good news, the Irish government will fund a range of outdoor events between July and September and an application process for these funds (Local Live Performance Programming Scheme) is under way. So with a bit of luck there will be lots of great events in many places. Access might be challenging though, if the events have to be organised like the recent FIRST post-lockdown concert in Iveagh Park. In this article (www.thejournal.ie/james-vincent-mcmorrow-live-gig-dublin-5463201-Jun2021/) you will find two pictures that show the HUGE area that was assigned to a max of 4 people and you can also watch the recording of the James Vincent McMorrow concert that took place on 10 June.

If you want to get informed about the upcoming free events in Dublin and Dun Laoghaire, make sure you sign up for the free weekly newsletter from the “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)”. And also please tell your family, friends and colleagues. Sign up at www.DublinEventGuide.com

This tip jar hasn’t seen much activity lately and unfortunately the bills are not covered for this month or last month. I just need about EUR 200 per month to cover the bills, but getting that is DIFFICULT!

The Dublin Event Guide is a free service, but it needs your donations to keep going. Any amount in the Tip Jar will help! But if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year.

That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that. That’s amazing value!  And if your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee. I won’t drink the coffee, but will use the money for the Dublin Event Guide.

For donations, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. In case it doesn’t work for you of if you read this on Facebook, the old links are still and can also be used. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the page above! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

You can donate here via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees (or Hot Chocolates!) for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

Finally, there is also another way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

+++ LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH ONLINE COURSES
Is there ever a wrong time for learning a new skill or enhancing what you are already interested in? Maybe it is a language or an instrument or some technical skills? Or NLP or some Business related “soft skills”? Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest cost for courses this month will be around 12.99. Check out the website at shor.by/GqCk And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)

+++ READ MORE BOOKS
For physical books and e-books I recommend Book Depository because they are usually cheaper than others and they always include free delivery in their price AND by buying books from Book Depository you will definitely help the Dublin Event Guide and it doesn’t cost you a cent. Buy your books here shor.by/BookDepository
  .

And this is it for another week! Have a great weekend and good new week.

Take care,

–Joerg (dublineventguide@gmail.com)
