I have very little time to do this Event Guide, the electricity could be switched off any moment or in a few hours. Nobody knows. It came on about 1 hour ago and often it only stays for a very short time. Unfortunately, my Laptop is a good bit older and the battery has a lifetime of just 10 min. So the moment electricity goes, I will quickly have to save everything and hope for the best.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

But power often doesn’t return for 24 hours, so where that leaves me and you with this Dublin Event Guide is very unclear. I have my fingers crossed that you will get SOMETHING, but I can’t make any promises. It is a gamble, let’s see if red or black wins.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

You might wonder where I am and I wrote about this part of the world a few months ago. I am in Zambia and Zambia gets power form a HUGE artificial lake. Hydro power turbines are meant to create all the electricity needed, but due to climate change, there is less rain than a few years ago and the lake doesn’t fill up to the level that is needed for a reliable electricity supply. So electricity gets rationed.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

The alternative is solar power or Diesel generators. Solar power panels are very expensive because the demand is huge and Diesel generators are expensive and dirty.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

Anyway, I better get going with the event listings, because that most likely interests you a LOT more than the power situation in Zambia. ;-)<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Because of the power problems, I will focus on the weekend events while I am away, hopefully that is ok with you!<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
