\nA mix of Neuroscientists, Educationalists, Health Policy Makers, Artists and Innovators will explore the brain and creativity from 04-09 March in Trinity College during “Creative Brain Week”. +++ Referendums on Family and Care<\/strong>
\nOn Friday 08 March every Irish citizen is asked to vote in the “Referendum on Family and Care”. The referendum is intended to decide if two sections in the Irish Constitution should be changed. Currently the constitution is outdated, in most people’s opinion and the referendum will update the wording. The wordings centre around the position of the (traditional) family in society. The fathers of the constitution did their best at the time, but our view of women and family constellations have moved on from their view points. Oddly (and at the same time not so surprising), some groups want to hold on to the old wording. One of them is the Catholic Bishops or Ireland, an organisation that most likely could benefit from some modernisation.

\nShould you vote? YES! In Ireland voting at elections or at referendums is not compulsory, you can choose freely. However, taking part in shaping your own and everyone else’s future in Ireland should – in my opinion – be a civic duty of every citizen.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nSeachtain na Gaeilge is an Irish language festival that takes place every year in March. It will run from 01-17 March and if you have an interest in Irish, either because you already speak it well or because you want to brush up on it or maybe it is your first steps, there will be events that are suitable for you.
