I am not sure what you would tell me if I asked you what you like and what you dislike about the “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)”, but one thing that you would most likely mention pretty soon is that it is sent too late. And I couldn’t agree more.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

It should be in your hands ideally on Friday or if that is not possible than at least at the very latest early on Saturday morning. I get that and understand it fully.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

I always said that if someone would sponsor me to be able to work more time on the Dublin Event Guide, I would guarantee that it will be out earlier. After nearly 800 editions, though, I kind of gave up on that sponsorship idea, but I will still do my best to change things around.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

This week, February is coming to an end and with the 1st day of March, Spring will arrive in Ireland. This definitely has an impact on events! The first bit outdoor event will be the St. Patrick’s Festival from 17-19 March and I will tell you more about this next week.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nDublin City has a new app that allows us to discover iconic Dublin landmarks such as the famine statues, the CHQ building and more.
\nThe app is available to download for free via\u00a0https:\/\/doorsintodocklands.com\/<\/a>
\nAfter you got the app, you can point your phone at the landmarks and this will prompt the related images, videos and stories to pop up.
\nThe app uses Augmented Reality (AR), a mix of 3D graphics, animation and audio, to immerse users in the story of the city.
\nSeveral colourful characters from history will also appear in AR to tell their tales. These include Captain Bligh who surveyed Dublin Bay in the 1800s and Maggie Doyle, who was a docker’s daughter.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
