After two weeks of super late arriving Dublin Event Guides, the next few weeks I will focus on bringing the delivery time forward again. Keep your fingers crossed that it will work out! ;-) (Update: It didn’t work perfectly yet, only some small improvement, but next week will be better!!)<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

I know this is something ALL of you prefer and you might wonder why this is not my HIGHEST priority and this is the reason: The Dublin Event Guide is a spare time project and I don’t earn a cent from it. Currently, I start working on the Dublin Event Guide on a Friday evening (sometimes later than I prefer!) and then I work through the night (sleep is overrated :-D) until it is finished the next morning. I will do my best in the next few weeks to start a little earlier, speed up the process and be more efficient. I might have to limit the number or listing of some of the events to streamline it, but hopefully the changes will be minimal.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Ohh and if anybody wants to sponsor me so that I don’t need to work on Fridays and can focus on the Dublin Event Guide, then even more improvements will be possible. :-)<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

So I have the events mentioned at the bottom of this newsletter and there are MANY. +++ Open House Dublin 2022 <\/strong>
\nOpen House Dublin is an event by the Irish Architecture Foundation mainly on 15+16 October, but there are already a few tours on Friday 14 Oct.
\nOpen House focuses on architecture. It looks at the buildings around us and you will be able to visit these buildings, go on a guided tour and find out from architects what was the idea behind how they are built.
\nAt Open House there will be lots of tours in interesting buildings in Dublin on Saturday and Sunday and while some tours are walk-in tours where you just join a queue outside and wait until it is your turn, many require booking. +++ Dublin Arts & Human Rights Festival <\/strong>
\nThe Dublin Arts and Human Rights Festival is a yearly festival organised by Smashing Times International Centre for the Arts and Equality and Front Line Defenders, an organisation working to improve the security and protection of human rights defenders at risk. The festival runs from the 14-23 October and the theme is “In Solidarity: A Celebration of Human Rights”.
\nThere will be workshops, theatre performances, musical performances, visual arts, exhibitions, film screenings, panel discussions, poetry and literature events, historical memory performances, live art, and digital installations.
\nThe launch event is on Fri 14 Oct (18:00-19:30) in the Chocolate Factory and you can book free tickets at https:\/\/smashingtimes.ie\/event\/opening-ceremony\/<\/a>

+++ Dublin Theatre Festival – Free events! <\/strong>
\nThe Dublin Theatre Festival takes place from 29 Sept-16 Oct and on 07+08 and on 14+15 Oct, there are some performances (mainly Work-in-progress performances) that are free. They are all part of the Festival+ programme and you can find the details at https:\/\/dublintheatrefestival.ie\/programme\/festival-plus<\/a> (Booking required).<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

+++ COP ON! The Festival – Arts, Talks & Workshops about Climate Action <\/strong>
\nThe Cop On Festival about Climate Action will stimulate discussion and inspire concrete climate action for realistic and sustained change. It is organised by Concern Worldwide and is part of the 1Planet4All campaign. There will be “an inspiring mix of great speakers from Ireland and around the world along with legendary Irish bands, comedians and spoken word artists.” Some of the music acts are Kila, Sive, Accidental Rapper and 49th & Main. An open-air cinema, workshops, street food, flea market, reggae yoga, special DJ sets and a range of surprises will enhance the festival.
\nIt will take place at TU Dublin, Lower House, Grangegorman, Dublin 7 On Friday 14 Oct (18:00-21:00 ) and Saturday 15 Oct (10:00-21:00). Admission is free, but registration is required at https:\/\/www.eventbrite.ie\/e\/415146082107<\/a>

\nFor the whole month of October the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Festival of Inclusion will take place (29 Sep-31 Oct) with plenty of free events promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
