Sadly I missed the good weather completely and being back to 1 degree at night seems so odd. But imagine when we had nearly 16 degrees in Dublin, it was 23 in Germany and the next day it dropped to 0! A temperature drop of 23 degrees from one day to the next, that is MAD!<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

This week, the “One Dublin One Book” Festival started. It is a celebration of Dublin through a selected book for the whole month of April. For a number of years old books were chosen, but because even Dublin with its literary richness will run out of good books, lately books that were specifically written for the festival are chosen and this year the book is “Nora” by Nuala O’Connor. The Nora she writes about is Nora Barnacle, who fell in love with James Joyce. One Dublin One Book is a Dublin City Council initiative and is organised by Dublin City Libraries and all events can be found at http:\/\/www.onedublinonebook.ie\/whats-on\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Also this week, a great festival for curious people takes place. It is called the “Dublin Learning City Festival”. It will run from 04\u201306 April and celebrates and promotes learning for all, through fun and creative events. The Dublin Learning City Festival has been created by University College Dublin (UCD), Trinity College Dublin (TCD), Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), Marino Institute of Education (MIE) and National College of Art and Design (NCAD). Events are free and there are well over 200 online and in-person events this year! And last, but not least the Five Lamps Arts Festival will run from 01-12 April. Their website unfortunately is not at all helpful at https:\/\/fivelampsarts.ie\/<\/a>\u00a0So, check on Facebook or Instagram where you have a better chance to find a proper list of events. (Only some events are free, so you need to check.) I found a few more and have them included below, but it is a pity that the website doesn’t have a comprehensive list.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
