Hi all!<\/span><\/div>\n
\nSooo, if I interpret the statements by Taoiseach and other government representatives correctly, then we will remain in Level 5 lockdown at least until the end of February, but possible until mid or end of March. :-O The next meeting to discuss Level 5 will be on Tuesday, but Michael Martin said that we will not get out for at least another 4 weeks and that the government will review every four week. So that means the next review after Tuesday will be so close to the end of March that it will probably be extended at least until the middle of March. That’s definitely not great news, but it at least shapes our hopes and expectations and we can now continue doing our best dealing with the restrictions for another while.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Dublin Event Guide end, I am working on an idea that will affect you in a positive way. The e-mail that I currently send out is ok, but it is neither pretty nor is it easily readable on mobile phones. The weekly Facebook post is just ugly and much too long and really awkward to read. So the idea would be to make the e-mail much prettier, to overhaul the website and then to move away from posting the weekly newsletter on Facebook, but to invite the Facebook community to either subscribe to the e-mail or to come to the website. So, if you agree that the e-mail should be much nicer and easier readable, please let me know via dublineventguide@gmail.com Unfortunately there will be some additional cost for the software license (approx. EUR 180 per year) that I need to create a prettier newsletter and if any of you could help with that, I would VERY much appreciate your help! THANK YOU! (Links for donations are following a couple of paragraphs down.)<\/span><\/p>\n

By the way, a good few people contacted me about my suggestion in last week’s Dublin Event Guide that we could be virus free in 2 weeks. I received some VERY good and interesting ideas, suggestions, questions and opinions. I will definitely get back to you all, but I didn’t manage to do so yet last week. Please give me a few more days. <\/span><\/p>\n

And just before I will tell you about lots of (online) events again, I will need to ask you again for your help. Last week was BAD unfortunately and if I want to improve the “look and feel” of the Dublin Event Guide I need some additional help as outlined above. If you can help PLEASE help to keep the Dublin Event Guide going, because there will definitely be REAL LIFE events again at some point this year!!! <\/span><\/p>\n

\nYou can travel across the globe …on your computer and if you need to home school your kids, make the trip as exciting as possible. Here are some sites that you can visit in Egypt. Combine that with a number of resources about the pyramids that you can find on YouTube and an summary of the history that you glean from Wikipedia and you are a knowledgeable tour guide that will be able to capture the attention of your youngster(s) fort he whole duration of your tour.<\/span><\/div>\n
