Hi all!<\/p>\n

What happened!? We have wonderful weather for quite some while and the forecast is extremely good for the weekend too? It seems too good to be true! But the great thing is that it IS true and you should make the most of it! Get out this weekend, go to the parks. Enjoy the weather and just behave as if we lived in a Mediterranean country. ;-) I am looking forward to the weekend.<\/p>\n

This weekend is full of events and at the same time quiet because there is no big single must-go event, but the following weekend will make up for it. If you want and have time, you can watch outstanding street performances for 8 hours on Friday, 8 hrs on Sat and 8 hrs on Sunday. I won’t be able to do Friday, but can’t wait to go to the Street Performance World Championship on Sat and Sun. No, not this weekend! The next weekend! This is just a big, juicy carrot dangling in front of your nose. First make the most out of the good weather this weekend, then work for another few days and THEN the best festival of the year will take place.<\/p>\n

This section is intended to provide some help in picking and choosing from the huge number of events by sharing with you what I will\/might or would do. This is not a “best of\u2026” list and if an event is not listed here, it by no means implies that the event is not interesting. Instead my “picks” are just based on my personal preferences. All events mentioned here are described in detail further down.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hmmm, this is a first: I am getting desensitised or is it just an odd week? There are more than 190 events in the Dublin Event Guide this week and I find it really difficult to fill this Joerg’s Picks section where I normally describe what events I will go to or would like to go to if I had the time. There are lots of good events, but nothing grabs me, makes me go WOW, so maybe it is desensitisation. ;-)<\/p>\n

Well, what did I like. I like some of the 10 Days in Dublin events, I like the National Play Day (I am just a tiny bit too old for it, I guess!) and the Milk & Cookies Stories event is always worth mentioning and I STILL want to go to it, but never made it yet. Oh, let me add the Trampolin Market as well and then you have an ok selection for the next few days.<\/p>\n

I am just biting my time before I can go to the Street Performance World Championship the following weekend. ;-) This is my most favourite event in the year and I really am looking forward to it! ;-)<\/p>\n

“Head in A Book” – 10 Days in Dublin – Ticket Competition<\/h2>\n

“Head in A Book” is part of the 10 Days in Dublin Festival. It takes place at 18:00 from 11-13 June in the Pearse Centre, 27 Pearse Street, Dublin 2. The event is a quirky comedy set in a library in 1980s Ireland written by Hugh Cardiff, directed by Steven Masterson, starring Geraldine Crowley, Ericka Roe, Billy Hutchinson & Adam Tyrrell.
