+++ Science Week 2022
From Sunday 13 Nov until Sunday 20 Nov, the Science Week 2022 will take place. Science Week includes a wide variety of events involving industry, colleges, schools, libraries, teachers, researchers and students throughout Ireland. The festival is organised by Science Foundation Ireland. In addition to the many individual events here www.sfi.ie/events/, there will be 19 STEM Festivals around the country, six online Science Week Shows (for Primary and Post-Primary Schools) and an immersive outdoor installation in Merrion Square Park in Dublin (16-19 November) exploring human biology through light, sound and fire, called “BODY @ Science Week” (Booking required and some slots are already booked up. Booking link see above in Thursday and Friday listing.)
I counted more than 40 free events in Dublin and you can find them by using the selectors on the left hand side on the www.sfi.ie/events/ page. Only a small number are in the listings above, so I strongly recommend that you check the event on the website. Many of the events will take place in the National Botanic Gardens at the “Plant Science Festival” botanicgardens.ie/plantscienceweek/ there.

The Christmas Market at Dublin Castle will be back from 08-21 December, but unless you were super fast or very very lucky, you and I will NOT see it this year. :-( Odd that for a Christmas Market tickets are required, but in crowd-control-obsessed Dublin nothing surprises.

The “Housing Unlocked” exhibition is described as a celebration of innovation, optimism and imagination. Eight architect-led proposals will be presented that are intended to unlock the housing potential in our villages, towns and cities.
Housing Unlocked is a partnership between the Irish Architecture Foundation and The Housing Agency.
