I know that you will all soon not have time anymore to be interested in all these ADDITIONAL suggestions for keeping busy that I started adding here when the Lockdown started, but for another week or two I will add them. (And if you want them to be here even longer than that, you will have to tell me! You MIGHT be able to twist my arm. ;-) )

1) Virtual Tour of the week
Today I have two slightly more unusual museum tours for you that Cornelia, a friend from Germany, found and sent me. The first is the Canadian Museum for Human Rights humanrights.ca/visit/explore-the-museum-from-home an interesting museum that I had not known about and that looks at a topic that in the times of Black Lives Matter and at the beginning of this year’s Pride Festival is a fitting suggestion.

The second museum that you can visit from home this week is the even more unusual “Museum Of Broken Relationships, LA, US, and Zagreb, Croatia”. It is not a 3D/Virtual Reality Tour, but still interesting: brokenships.com/explore

2) European Day of Music
This Sunday 21 June is the European Day of Music and in Dublin the central event will be the performance of the “Ode to Joy” in a variety of locations. www.facebook.com/events/705089620327305/ It will be performed life, but streamed online.

And the “Pipeworks Festival 2020: Pipeworks from The Organ Loft” that comes with two performances (Sat and Sun) is also part of the European Day of Music.

3) Stoneybatter Festival
As the first post (-ish)-Covid festival, the Stoneybatter Festival chose the online route with an interesting sprinkle of some live (offline) events added. Looks like we might have to get used to that type of cultural festivals for another while: www.stoneybatterfestival.ie/schedule

4) Summer Solstice
Astronomically it is just the BEGINNING of summer (the meteorological summer started on 01 June), but the Celts had divided the year differently and were not aligned with our seasons. For that reason the modern Celts today call the Summer Solstice incorrectly the MID-summer solstice. It will take on Saturday night, so Saturday is the longest day and shortest night of the year.
A big event for the modern Celts, for me it is always a day that is coming much too soon because from now the days will get shorter again and I don’t really like that. ;-)

Some of you have asked me to continue with the weekly book suggestions, so here is another one. I have to admit, though, that I didn’t keep a log of what books I have suggested in the last few weeks, so until I get a chance to do that, I could repeat myself. I hope not, though. ;-)
This week the book is “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F+ck” by Mark Manson and it might be a suitable book for the current times. Manson suggests that we should stop trying to be “positive” all the time so that we can truly become better, happier people.
