Hello again!

The August Bank Holiday weekend is an odd one! Event organisers seem to think that the country is mostly deserted on this weekend. :-O Sure there are many people travelling, using the extra day off, but there are also LOTS of people staying at home. But before you are concerned that you will be bored this weekend in Dublin, let me assure you that I searched for hours and I did find a few good events for you!

It is the last weekend for Dublin City to convince us that they are serious about events that could take place at College Green after a pedestrianisation. The first Sunday event of the trial pedestrianisation was as poor as it can be. I heard the second was a better. But this week counts! Unfortunately it is not a good sign that Dublin City turned the comment function off on their Facebook Event Page. :-O

Because of the Bank Holiday weekend, I expect that this week’s Dublin Event Guide message will be seen by lots less people than normally. For that reason, it is even more important that you give me 20 seconds in return for getting this long lists of events:

It is very simple and doesn’t cost you a cent:
Just go to www.DublinEventGuide.com and click on the rectangular ad that is shown at the very top of the page! If you don’t see an ad there, please turn your Ad Blocker off and refresh the page and then do the clicking. ;-) It is just a few cents that I will get, but if enough people click on it – and it only takes a few seconds! -, it might do the job to cover the cost for sending the Dublin Event Guide. Thanks! Some people have asked me for the Dublin Event Guide PayPal link for direct donations and here it is: www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide

And here are some of this weekend’s free events. All events are sorted by start time, but watch out for the few events that have a “++” in front of them, the are particularly recommended. ;-) ALL events in this list are free, but some require booking!
