Dublin Event Guide (for free events)

Be proud!

Pride Festival, Dublin Plein Air Painting Festival, Digital Depot Flea Market, Street Feast

Hi!

How are you today? I just wanted to thank you for opening this e-mail/reading this post. because after working on it for about 12 hours last night, you reading this is all I was hoping for. Spending 12 hours if nobody read it would be a waste of time because then all these great events would remain undiscovered.

While you were asleep last night, I checked over 70 websites and a total of more than 300 web pages to find the free events that you find in this “Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)”. ALL events are free and I can’t say that often enough because some readers can’t believe that there are sooo many free events.

There are markets, gigs, talks, tours and even protests and I bet there is something for everyone. And if you can’t find anything that appealed to you in the past, then try something new, you might really like it!

A few years ago I went to a free event that I had found through the search for this newsletter. It was a multi-day event that resulted in me taking a number of training courses and it had such a huge impact on my life that myself and my clients are still benefiting from it.

It was the foundation for the Inspiring Leadership Academy that I founded about 4 years ago, a training academy for leadership, personal development and professional development. I will soon run a free training event again about how to stop or at least tame down these negative voices or opinions that we hear or sense and that stop us from achieving what are meant to achieve. These voices are often called “Inner critic” or just “Little Voice”. If you want to be among the first to find out about that event, send a mail to events@inspiringleadershipacademy.com and I will tell you more.

Donations in July:
EUR 152

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter here shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be subtracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

Last week the great people that helped with donations presents were Gerard and Frank! Thanks a lot! You are really appreciated and your donation is essential to keep the Dublin Event Guide alive. :-)

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses. The first of those bonuses is described above.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 3. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb or now also revolut.me/joergbrb
(If possible, please send your full name and e-mail address as a message with the payment via PayPal or Revolut so that I can tell you about bonuses for donors when available.)

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

Do you have what it takes to be next big (or little) curator? Escape the house and discover the amazing history of how the Irish have travelled the world in our EPIC Explorers Imagination Camp: ‘Make an Exhibition’ edition!
Your day will begin with a one hour interactive workshop, where you’ll learn fun facts about how the Irish have explored sea, land, air and space and meet a whole host of famous figures. Then, comes the difference – inspired by what we’ve discovered, we’ll use our ingenuity and creativity to create our own exhibitions! Using your imagination alongside our how-to guide, you’ll put your creative prowess to the test to design a mini-exhibition at EPIC, featuring all your favourite parts from the workshops, such as hot air balloons, space shuttles and more.
On the final day, we’ll arrange our exhibitions, inviting friends and family to see our hard work come alive before their eyes!
Designed to get kids engaging with history in a fun, interactive way where they also learn life skills, we’ll craft planes alongside aviator Lady Mary Heath, make camp with jungle explorer Cynthia Longfield, dive into the ocean with John Phillip Holland, create cars with Henry Ford, set sail with William Lamport, among much more! And there is more…

+++ Low Priced Books with free delivery
Book Depository is the place where you can buy low priced books, usually for better prices than on Amazon and Book Depository always delivers for free. And by buying books from Book Depository you will also help the Dublin Event Guide for no additional cost to you. Use this link: shor.by/BookDepository
  .

+++ DUBLIN PRIDE FESTIVAL
This is the main weekend of the Dublin Pride Festival. The Dublin Pride March & Parade will take place on Saturday from 12:00, followed by celebrations in the festival village at Merrion Square. The parade will go from Parnell Square to Merrion Square and will follow this route: Parnell Square – O’Connell Street – Eden Quay – Custom House Quay to IFSC – Matt Talbot Bridge to Southside – City Quay to Lombard Street – Westland Row – Merrion Square If you want to cheer on the participants at the side of the street or if you want to take part in the parade, you are welcome to do either. Everyone is also welcome to the Festival Village (bags will be searched). All events can be found on dublinpride.ie/events/

+++ Ballyfermot – Cherry Orchard Arts Festival
From 24 June until 10 July the Ballyfermot – Cherry Orchard Arts Festival will take place. It is mainly (but not exclusively) for the local population in the area and a printed programme seemingly was distributed to many (or all households there). The online version of the programme is a series of photos of it on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/BallyfermotFest2022 Check it out there.

+++ LEARN A NEW SKILL WITH ONLINE COURSES
Is there ever a wrong time for learning a new skill or enhancing what you are already interested in? Maybe it is a language or an instrument or some technical skills? Or NLP or some Business related “soft skills”? Check out Udemy via the link below, they have thousands of courses and there is good chance that what you are looking for is available. Nearly all the courses are REALLY affordable!
The lowest price most of the time is EUR 12.99, so definitely do-able. Occasionally it goes even below that and I will mention it here when I find out. Check out the website at shor.by/GqCk And if you buy through that link, you also help the Dublin Event Guide! :-)

And this is it for another week! Have a great weekend and good new week.

Take care,

–Joerg (dublineventguide@gmail.com)
