City Spectacular, The Square Festival, Bastille Day Party

Hi!

What a  great weekend ahead!

We will have the perfect outdoor festival weather and while there are LOTS of free events happening again this weekend, I have only eyes for the City Spectacular at Merrion Square, which is in its 14th (!!) year. ;-) It is a really great event and I went to every Street Performance World Championship (the former name) and every City Spectacular. :-O There will be amazing, outstanding and fun Street Performance shows on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00-19:00 and in addition there will be music, a big Food Market and children’s entertainment. Expect sword swallowing, juggling, acrobatics, magic and lots and lots of laughter!

If you only have limited time to spend, then watch the show of the Space Cowboy and/or Mr. Toons and/or Jack Wise. Admission is free, but the performers are not paid by the festival and will appreciate your donations after their performances. There will be 4 stage areas (3 in Merrion Square and 1 outside) and the website has a schedule and a map (in the Maps & Timetables section) that should help you. Laya Healthcare is the sponsor of the festival and there will be a good few health and lifestyle related components as well.

Have a great weekend at the Laya Healthcare City Spectacular OR at any of the many other free events!

Thanks for your support again last week and if it is ok with you, we will continue that approach so that hopefully I will not ever need to pester you for donations again. :-)
This is how the funding thing works (and it doesn’t cost you a cent!): Just go to www.DublinEventGuide.com and click on the ad banner that is at the very top of the page! If you don’t see an ad banner there, please turn your Ad Blocker off and refresh the page and then do the clicking. ;-) It is just a few cents that I will get, but if enough people click on it – and it only takes a few seconds! – , it might do the job to cover the cost for sending the Dublin Event Guide. Thank you!

And here are some of this weekend’s free events. All events are sorted by start time, but watch out for the few events that have a “++” in front of them, the are particularly recommended. ;-) ALL events in this list are free, but some require booking!
